Out With The Old And In With The New

Today, I didn't feel like uploading anything, but God's will most times, defy our 'feelings'. My spirit man knows that there are always people out there that need to hear something, almost 11pm and the Holy Spirit gives me something to write about.

I'm writing about something that I personally, didn't fully understand till CUTG's Monday meetings...this past week, I decided to search the scriptures and I found out more about it. The death of Jesus on the cross gave us privileges that many Christians are even unaware of, as a new creation, your old man is gone, you are not your past, stop holding onto it. Although this doesn't happen in an instant we have to be intentional about the things of God and develop an actual relationship with Him. You are in Christ and as He is so are we in this world. Instead of being sin conscious, dwell on the fact that God said He'd keep you from falling short (Jude 1:24).

Although there are times when we actually fall short, our Heavenly Father receives us with open arms when we confess our sins and turn away. Understand and accept the fact that no matter how much you try by your own power to do right, we can't be perfect, the Bible says our righteousness is like a filthy rag before the Lord (Isaiah 64:6 and Romans 3:10), that's why we need Jesus. Don't get me wrong though, regardless of that, we still have to practice the Word (Matthew 7:24) and do as it says by the help of the Holy Spirit.

Stop being conscious of sin, but instead, be conscious of the promise of God to keep us in the right path, to keep us from falling short. This new week, trust in our Heavenly Father to help you, study scriptures and grow from faith to faith. May the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ keep you till the Lord's coming, have an awesome week. Shalom.
