So What About The Old Testament?

I promised to post on Friday, turns out that I didn't...but thank God for Saturday. On this note, I just want to notify frequent readers that I won't be posting till after two weeks. Let's get into the topic of this post.
Quite a lot of people claim that the Old Testament should be neglected because "all things have been made new", and they use that as an excuse to sin (because of grace). If the Old Testament wasn't necessary God wouldn't have let it been preserved for it to be seen.
Many stories in the Old Testament depict the wrath of our Holy God on the sins of the Israelites, the people of Sodom and Gomorrah etc. It shows that we are privileged because Yeshua (Jesus Christ) died on the cross and is the final atonement for our sins. In the days of the early prophets, goats and sheep were the sacrifices, and they remembered their sins yearly. The final sacrifice was made on the cross by Jesus.

Again, it is important not to take this Grace for granted. Walk in righteousness through the help of the Holy Spirit, love the Lord with all your heart and love thy neighbour as you love yourself...even the ones that aren't nice to you, the ones that don't know Jesus. This is important because spreading the love of Jesus to all men fulfils the work of the general ministry of believers, which is the ministry of reconciliation, not condemnation.
I love you all, God bless you. Shabbat Shalom.
